But Facebook Notes is so 2011…
Shortsighted!
Early this week, Facebook announced an update to its Notes product that makes it more beautiful and as customisable as ever. Read that into, they are now making a play into the space of publishing platform, Medium.

Facebook has been making noise about direct publishing and being the direct source for all for awhile now. I see Facebook Notes as a further step into that arena, making it easy to publish content, without needing a website/blog or for a public figure to get their content out to all their followers.
As to what this means for links outside of Facebook, my guess is Facebook\’s algorithm will cut down on reach as the Notes product matures, just as it has with its video product.

The new version of Facebook Notes is available via Desktop only for now.
