Well it\’s about time. The \’favourite\’ star button that Twitter users were using as a way to show approval for a tweet (or as we\’ll call it, a like) has finally been redesigned into a heart.

Now we can \’heart\’ our favourite tweets until our hearts are content. There are a few issues creeping in already though, issues that Facebook has had for years and soon will not have. One such issue is hearting a negative event.
.@twitter can journalists get a \”save\” button then? Looks bad if I\’m \”hearting\” a fatal fire tweet from another reporter. — Nate Benson (@natebenson) November 3, 2015
As Twitter keeps crawling out of it\’s identity abyss, we will keep seeing changes, and Twitter users (lets face it, all social network users) will display their distaste at change.
Do you like the @Twitter change from a star to a heart for when you like a post?

To me though, this is a positive sign. For once, Twitter has been listening to how people are using Twitter and (for once) adapting to it.
